Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: STEREO A
Event Time: 2025-10-27T13:02Z ( STEREO A: IMPACT )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: IMPACT
Activity ID: 2025-10-27T13:02:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 0 (weak signatures)
Note: Characterized by an initial Btotal drop from around 6.4nT to 4.7nT before a slow rise to around 10nT, reaching a peak Btotal of 10.3nT at 2025-10-28T16:54Z. Preliminary PLASTIC data is sparse with no clear departure from background conditions in speed, density, or temperature. The source is likely the later-than-expected glancing blow from CME 2025-10-23T16:38Z modeled to arrive at 2025-10-26T12:00Z (+-7 hours). This same source was likely observed equally late at L1 by ACE and DSCOVR at 2025-10-27T13:38Z, although that signature potentially includes additional CIR and solar sector boundary crossing influence not present within this signature at STEREO A.
